When we decided that we needed to replace our central heating boiler we were a bit concerned having heard so many stories about people being ripped off, but we decided to get three independent quotes, James's was the first number we tried and he came round very promptly and on time. We were impressed by his professional and courteous attitude and after surveying and listening to our requirements he went off to prepare a quote which was delivered very quickly. In the meantime we had two other visits from other parties one of whom let us down and had to re-book, of the three quotes James's was by far the most realistic and the only one that matched what we had asked for, all boilers were of similar type and yet the prices differed dramatically.
The work itself was carried out to the highest standard and was completed in less than a day (the others had quoted 2 days), James covered every where he worked and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards and even returned later to give a demonstration of the operation of the system.
In all we can say that James is a very professional and courteous person who carries out his work to the highest standard, displays the utmost competence in his work and is a great example to all his profession (many of them older but not better) and to top it all he charges a fair and reasonable rate for his work. We would recommend him to anyone.

We used a standard market research approach by looking for local plumbers on the web and I am delighted we happened upon J Myatt Plumbing and Heating. We returned to the UK in the middle of winter and were desperate to find a good plumber quickly to replace our broken boiler before the snow arrived. James was the second person to provide a quote and I knew from the first visit he was someone I would like to work with. His approach is friendly and efficient as well as informative.
It was great James and his apprentice Sean were able to fit us into their busy schedule. They are a good team, working through to get the job done, taking care to purchase the materials, clean the system, fit the new boiler, commission and clean-up after themselves in a very professional manner. We needed a plumber to complete 1st and 2nd fix plumbing for our self-build home. After sending out several quotation requests resulting in either unrealistic prices or no response, we were recommended James through a third party. We found James to be both professional and friendly in his approach and his price was competitive. James installed all of the plumbing throughout our new build home, consisting of plumbing to 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a utility area, installing a combi boiler and the underfloor heating system. He also installed our gutters and downpipes.
